About Birchwood Players

Birchwood Players started out as a simple conversation late night over a dinner at the Red Arrow Diner after a musical performance. Bryan De Oliveira wanted to direct his own show and his best friend Thomas Cram Offered some ideas for how to make it happen. Originally, it would be done through the high school drama club they both were a part of, but issues arose and they decided instead to create their own theater company in order to put on the best shows they can.

As the Birchwood Players we hope to bring quality performances to the people of Manchester, and prove to many that creativity can be found here and projected to an audience of hundreds, even with a smaller budget than most other theatre companies.

About The Founders

Bryan De Oliveira

I’ve always been passionate about stories and nothing else takes that love for storytelling in all its forms to the extreme than acting. I’ve been an actor for quite a while, always having been interested in the art form since I was in 6th grade. Only until my Sophomore year I was actually able to try out acting as a hobby for my school. It was an incredible experience and set the path for my perfectionist mindset to take hold onto. Directing was the natural next step to take in my trajectory towards greatness, and I hope to be just as good at it as I am at acting!

Thomas Cram

Ever since I moved to the US I’ve been passionate for theater, it has allowed me to show a part of myself others wouldn’t see otherwise and has been an artistic outlet for me. I hope that by creating a space for others to show off that side of themselves I can be part of creating a better future for artists
